Our standard delivery service includes a "Booked In" call. If you have selected "call before delivery", the Palletways local depot responsible for your area will contact you on the day of delivery.
Please ensure your mobile phone is switched on and within signal range so you can be reached. If the depot is unable to contact you, the delivery may be delayed.
In most cases, the Palletways local depot will attempt to call the customer before finalising delivery. If they are unable to speak with you, they may leave a voicemail message. Please check your voicemail and return the call as soon as possible, as this helps the depot confirm access and arrange delivery smoothly.
In some situations, even if the "call before delivery" option has not been selected, the Palletways local depot may still arrange a "Booked In" call. This may occur if satellite imagery such as Google Maps suggests that the road leading to your address may be narrow or difficult for a standard 18-ton delivery lorry to access.
Most pallet deliveries are normally carried out using an 18-ton vehicle. If the depot identifies potential access restrictions, they may contact you in advance to confirm whether the road is suitable or whether an alternative arrangement may be required.
A "Booked In" delivery means that the delivery company's local depot will contact the customer in advance, usually on the day of delivery, to confirm availability or agree a suitable delivery window. This helps ensure someone is present to receive the goods and reduces the risk of failed or delayed deliveries.
This contact is normally made directly by the Palletways local depot responsible for your delivery area rather than by our office.
