Why Choose Westone Chinese Roofing Slate?

With over 28 years of exporting slate to the UK, Westone’s Chinese slate combines craftsmanship with affordability. While not suitable for extreme frost conditions or chemically harsh environments, its beauty, consistency, and ease of installation make it ideal for traditional-style roofing projects where cost and aesthetics are priorities.

Since 1997, we have exported this type of product to the UK, and the majority of Chinese roof slate currently supplied in the UK market is of this type—showing that demand remains very strong. However, we have concerns that some suppliers claim this product has fully passed all S1 frost resistance tests. We ourselves do not believe it can truly meet the S1 standard, and for this reason, we have decided to suspend imports of this product.
