At Paving Slabs UK, we prioritise transparency and customer satisfaction by helping you understand how batch variations and sample limitations can affect your paving project decisions.
1. Samples Are for Reference Only
All samples are cut from a specific batch and are intended to illustrate the general colour tone only. They do not reflect the full variation in texture, finish, or depth of the current stock.
Even if a sample is provided, it cannot guarantee an exact match with the goods delivered, as porcelain and natural stone products—like sandstone or granite—naturally vary between production batches.
2. Photographs and Perceived Depth
Please do not rely on website photos to judge the exact depth, tone, or surface finish of the goods. While our images aim to be accurate, variations may occur due to batch differences and lighting conditions. Delivered items may not be exactly as shown.
3. No Colour Matching with Other Retailers
We do not offer colour matching services for products from other stores. Attempting to match our goods to items purchased elsewhere often results in unrealistic expectations and unresolvable disputes. Therefore, we strongly advise against placing orders based on third-party samples or product references.
4. Batch Uniformity (Especially for Porcelain Paving Slabs)
For porcelain paving slabs sourced from India, batch variations are typically minimal. Most factories follow the same moulds and design references, resulting in surface patterns and colours that are very similar—though not perfectly identical—across different batches.
To minimise any risk of visible inconsistency, especially when paving a single continuous area, we strongly recommend sourcing all materials from the same supplier, ideally from the same batch and factory. While product names may be the same across suppliers, subtle differences between factories can become noticeable if laid side by side.
However, if the slabs are installed in different areas (e.g., front garden vs. rear patio), such variations are generally unnoticeable. Therefore, sending a separate sample solely for comparison is usually unnecessary and may not provide additional benefit.
5. Recommendation
To ensure visual consistency across your entire project, we strongly recommend ordering all required materials from the same batch in a single order. If phased purchasing or delivery is unavoidable, please be aware that matching batches may not be possible.
In such cases, it’s important to manage expectations regarding potential batch variation, and we kindly ask that you inform your supplier in advance so appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
