Smart Design for Hassle-Free Installation
The Z-tier interlocking design helps create a neat and continuous wall finish, while the cement backing adds extra strength, stability and ease of handling during installation. Suitable for feature walls, garden walls, entrance areas, fireplaces, commercial facades and exterior elevations, this grey granite cladding offers a practical solution for projects that require both visual impact and reliable performance.
Natural Granite Texture with Lasting Appeal
The split-face granite surface gives each panel natural depth, shadow and texture. Its grey base colour is enhanced by irregular white mineral veins, giving the wall a distinctive stone appearance without looking artificial or over-designed. This makes Grey Granite Stone Cladding Cement Backing a strong choice for traditional British homes, modern garden designs and commercial wall features where a durable natural stone finish is preferred.
Durable, Low-Maintenance and Weather-Resistant
Granite is widely valued for its hardness, density and long service life. Combined with a cement backing, these cladding panels are designed to provide a stable and robust wall covering for demanding indoor and outdoor environments. The natural stone surface is low-maintenance, weather-resistant and well suited to UK conditions, making it a dependable option for customers looking for both style and substance.

Stone Cladding Sample Policy
Stone cladding samples are provided to allow customers to view the genuine colour, tone, texture, and surface character of the stone before placing a full official order. Due to the weight of our stone cladding and the handling methods used by standard parcel couriers, stone cladding sample delivery conditions are not comparable to professional palletised stone transport.
Important notice: All stone cladding samples are non-returnable and non-refundable, regardless of their condition on arrival. Sample charges are applied solely to cover costs, handling, and courier charges.
Each sample box consists of 4 full-size stone cladding panels (approximately 30 kg in total). Samples are supplied for assessing the stone itself, including colour variation, texture, and overall appearance, and are not intended to evaluate the condition of adhesive layers or cement backing after courier transit.
Based on long-term experience, it is common for stone cladding samples to experience damage during parcel delivery, including partial detachment of stone from the backing. This occurs due to the weight of the stone cladding material and the non-specialist nature of courier handling, and does not indicate a defect in the stone.
Samples are packed in standard cartons and are not reinforced for rough courier handling. If stone detachment or damage occurs during transit, this should not be a cause for concern.
If your primary purpose in ordering a sample is to confirm the stone’s colour, texture, and visual character, we are happy to supply samples provided you understand and accept the possibility of backing detachment during delivery. Please contact us if clarification is required.
Full orders are handled differently. All official production orders are palletised, reinforced, and securely packed for professional stone logistics via Palletways. Stone movement or detachment during full official order transport is extremely rare.
Please note that within the UK market, many stone cladding products with similar colours and structures originate from the same quarry regions and associated factories. As such, samples remain a reliable reference for evaluating the visual characteristics of the stone prior to committing to a full order.
We recommend ordering a bit more at once because:
- A. Although we pack very securely, there's still a small chance of minor damage during transit.
- B. Small top-up orders sent by ParcelForce almost always arrive broken, based on our experience.
Therefore, customers should note that small quantities must be sent by pallet delivery. It's safe, but it requires paying for a ¼-weight pallet, which makes small replacements uneconomical.
Why Are Our Stone Cladding Prices So Competitive?
Our stone cladding is supplied directly from our own overseas factory, removing traditional distribution costs and keeping prices close to the source. Our pricing approach is to maintain reasonable margins rather than high mark-ups, supporting higher sales volumes while ensuring consistent and reliable quality.
Can stone cladding be used outside in the UK and on what surfaces?
Yes, stone cladding systems such as back mesh and cement-backed panels are suitable for outdoor use in the UK when installed correctly. For long-term durability in typical British weather conditions, cladding should be fixed onto a stable and well-prepared substrate such as concrete, brickwork, cement render or tile backer boards. These surfaces provide the necessary strength and stability to support the weight of natural stone and ensure a reliable installation.
What adhesive should be used for stone cladding installation?
A high-quality flexible tile adhesive rated S1 or above should be used to ensure proper bonding and long-term performance. Products such as Kerakoll H40 Gel are commonly selected due to their proven reliability and wide availability across UK builders’ merchants. We recommend using High Performance Adhesives for Stone Cladding Installation to achieve the best results.
Do I need to seal stone cladding and how much extra should I order?
Sealing is not generally required and is often avoided as it can slightly darken the stone. However, if sealing is preferred, a breathable impregnating sealer that does not alter the colour is recommended, particularly for areas exposed to higher moisture levels. When ordering, it is standard practice to allow at least 10% extra material for cuts and wastage, with slightly more recommended for corners, detailed layouts or irregular wall shapes.
How can I identify real stone cladding and understand its long-term performance?
All of our stone wall cladding is made from genuine quarried natural stone, including quartz, slate, granite and limestone. These materials are naturally hard, durable and resistant to weathering, making them suitable for long-term exterior use. The colour of real stone is determined by its internal mineral composition, which remains stable over time. Even after years of exposure to rain, frost and sunlight, the overall tone and character remain fundamentally consistent. When comparing products on the market, it is important to check whether the material is truly natural stone, as some products sold as stone cladding are manufactured using cement moulds and artificial colouring. These alternatives are typically much cheaper to produce, more uniform in appearance, and do not offer the same long-term durability or colour stability.
Why do we only supply real natural stone cladding?
We supply only real natural stone cladding because it reflects our approach to material authenticity and long-term value. Cement-moulded cladding products are inexpensive to manufacture and widely available, and in many cases can be produced at around one-third of the cost of genuine natural stone cladding in our overseas factory. However, we do not believe in importing very low-cost materials and selling them at higher retail prices under the general label of stone cladding. As a direct importer, our focus is on genuine quarried stone with consistent quality, natural appearance and dependable durability, ensuring customers receive materials that perform reliably over time rather than relying on short-term surface appearance.
