How to Install Porcelain Paving Slabs Correctly?
For a typical UK pedestrian patio, porcelain paving should normally be installed over approximately 100 mm of well-compacted MOT Type 1, followed by a full mortar bed around 30–40 mm thick. A suitable slurry primer should be applied across the complete underside of every slab before laying, with consistent external joints of around 5 mm and suitable drainage falls.
